Kung Fu Panda: Life Lessons for Inspiration

Haven’t seen Inspirational Kung Fu Panda yet? It has a lot of life lessons for sure!

Well, here is the story, in short:

Its about a Panda, obviously, named Po. He is a Dragon Warrior.
But it wasn’t like that before. He was a very lazy, fat Panda, good at only selling noodles (and probably eating them). But, he had one passion: Kung Fu. And one lucky day, Master Oogway choose him as the Dragon Warrior. He went rigorous training under Master Shifu. He didn’t believe he could be a dragon warrior at first but then, he did. The training was really vigourous but he never gave up. In the end, he defeated the most treacherous and the most powerful snow leopard Tai Lung and brought peace to the valley.
Life Lessons  from the movie:
1. Believe that you are a warrior.
There is not secret ingredient, it’s just you.
Fight against low-self esteem and negative thoughts to discover your awesomeness.
Afterall there is no charge for awesomeness or attractiveness.
2. Practice is the key to success.
If you don’t train, you’ll never reach the next level.
3. Learn from the Masters
Obeying your master is not a sign of weakness.
Follow them.
4. But don’t be a blind carbon copy.
Don’t let go off your personal uniqueness
“Po: There are 5 masters, there is just one me!
Shifu: But you will have the one thing no one else has! That one thing is your awesomeness, your individuality.”
5. Identify your driving force.
For Po, it was Food. Master Shifu used it as a bait to train Po and didn’t let him eat till he earned it for himself.
What fires you up? is it food? Coffee? or Music? or Movies?
Indulge in those after training is over.
6. Laud yourself for success.
Give yourself due credit for every small achievement towards your goal.
“Back from Training:
Master Shifu: You have done well, Kung Fu Panda
Po: Done well?! Ha, I’ve done awesome.
Master Shifu: The sign of true hero is humility… But yes you have done awesome.”
7. Own your weakness.
Take your weakness and turn it into strength.
“I’m not the big fat Panda, I am THE big fat Panda”
8. Live in present
The past is gone and no point bringing up things from past and being sad over those. Yesterday is a history, tomorrow is a mystery but today is a gift that is why it is called present.
9. Don’t panic, Stay Relaxed
“Anything is possible when you have inner peace”
Breathing exercises helps keep you calm and stay focused under difficult and challenging conditions.
